Yesterday, the HfS team and I ventured over to the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood in search of inspiration for our new line of flat belt bags, the Flats Collection, soon to be new additions to our Classic Collection.
The Pacific Design Center has always been one of my favorite places to go for design inspiration, as nearly everywhere you look you are fed with some sort of visual inspiration.
Before even entering the showrooms, we're caught off guard by creative window displays like this one from Kerry Joyce Textiles. I love how they combined black and white photography with their colorful fabrics, mixing different patterns, shapes, and textures with the flat images.
Upon entering the showroom, it feels like we've arrived at Disneyland, as we each excitedly scurry off to explore fabrics for our new line (or get distracted by the equally beautiful wallpapers and lamps, too). Here are some of our favorites:
After countless "ooo-ing and ahh-ing," we leave the Pacific Design Center with renewed inspiration, not to mention bags upon bags of fabric samples in hand.
We review our fabric findings over a delicious lunch of veggie burgers and "Red Haute" juices at the Newsroom on North Robertson to celebrate a job well done! We are so excited about our new line of belt bags and can't wait to share more about them with you soon!
